Higher Love is a song by the English electronic music group Depeche Mode composed by Martin Gore, published on the 1993 album Songs of Faith and Devotion.

Higher Love is one of the few songs based on a merely synthetic sound of this album, although in a particularly bleak way, with lyrics about the extreme emotion to which love leads, generally away from allegories and elaborate metaphors.

This is due to the fact that it is inserted in a very dark, musical side of DM with a heavy and a dark synthetic base, full of different effects. While the album as a whole is very dark, since most of the songs are supported in acoustic sounds, Higher Love manages to be something different, the most traditional of DM for its purely electronic sound, but also somehow clashing with the album. After all, its 'heaviness' was achieved only with electronic elements and its passionate lyrics, which achieves a strange authentic rock quality based primarily on dark synthetic effects.
